Goldmine fetches the public city gold-rate pages from GoodReturns and IIFL. The app tries GoodReturns first and falls back to IIFL if that's unreachable. Both sources track the IBJA wholesale rate closely. Rates are city-level retail prices, not global spot.
No. Everything you enter — transactions, FDs, SIPs, holdings, alerts, budgets — is saved only to a local JSON file inside Goldmine's sandboxed Documents folder on your iPhone. We have no servers.
Tap "Export all data" in Settings to generate a checksum-verified .goldmine backup file. AirDrop it to your new iPhone and tap "Import from file" inside Goldmine — done.
Goldmine is currently free while we finalise in-app purchases. A one-time Goldmine Pro upgrade will arrive in a future update — there will be no recurring billing.
Yes. The whole app works offline — only the live gold-rate refresh and the "Pro" purchase flow require an internet connection.
