Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 May 2026
Your data stays on your iPhone.

Goldmine has no servers, no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs. The summary below explains exactly what happens to your data — please read it; it's short.

What we collect

Nothing. Goldmine does not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal or financial data on our servers. We do not operate any servers.

All data you enter — transactions, fixed deposits, SIPs, gold holdings, price alerts, budgets, recurring rules, and gold-price history — lives only in your iPhone's local storage (a JSON file inside the app's sandboxed Documents directory).

What the app does over the network

The app makes one type of outgoing request: it fetches public gold-rate pages (GoodReturns and IIFL) to read the day's gold price for the city you choose. No personal data is sent. The request includes only a standard User-Agent string and no cookies, identifiers, or account data.

Permissions

Tracking and analytics

We do not use any tracking, analytics, advertising, or third-party SDKs. We do not collect device identifiers (IDFA, IDFV, etc.). We do not profile usage.

Purchases

If you purchase Goldmine Pro, the transaction is processed by Apple, not by us. We never see your payment details. Apple shares the receipt with the app, which is verified on-device. We do not link purchases to any identity outside of your Apple ID.

Backup and transfer

You can export all your data into a .goldmine file (JSON with a SHA-256 integrity checksum) using the in-app Export feature. The file is created in your iPhone's local storage; you choose what to do with it (AirDrop to another iPhone, save to Files). Goldmine does not upload this file anywhere.

Children's privacy

Goldmine is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and bump the date above. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance.
