Free: all 10 ASCII styles, 17 character sets, every animation and color, photo edits, and export as photo, video or GIF up to 4K with no watermark. Pro adds 82 photo effects. You can try every Pro effect in the editor; Pro is only needed to export them.

The yearly plan includes a 7-day free trial for Apple IDs that haven't had one before. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends and you won't be charged. Otherwise the yearly subscription starts and renews each year until you cancel.

On your iPhone or iPad: open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose ASCII Studio Pro and tap Cancel Subscription. Or go to apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.

Deleting the app doesn't cancel a subscription. After canceling, Pro stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.

Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, choose the purchase and select "Request a refund".

Open the app, tap the PRO badge, then Restore at the bottom. Make sure you're signed in with the Apple ID you used to subscribe (Settings > your name > Media & Purchases). Still stuck? Email us with the date of purchase.

In Settings > your name > Subscriptions > ASCII Studio Pro, choose the other plan. Apple handles the timing and any credit.

Yes. Sign in with the same Apple ID and tap Restore on the Pro screen.

Touch and hold the photo, or hold the compare button at the top of the editor. Let go to return to your edit. To blend the two, use Adjust > Strength.

Add motion in the Animate tool, tap Export, choose Video or GIF, then Create. When it's ready, save it to Photos or share it.

Edits save automatically inside the app and appear on the home screen under Your edits. Touch and hold an edit to duplicate or delete it.

Open Settings > Privacy & Security > Photos > ASCII Studio and allow "Add Photos Only" or "Full Access".

Not yet. Today you can pick a video and edit its first frame as a still, then animate it. Full video-to-video editing is on our roadmap.
